The Eskimo range was developed after two Danish physicians “Bang and Dyerberg” while working in Greenland noticed that the Eskimos seemed practically immune to heart disease even though their diet is high fat diet. These doctors completed extensive research & discovered that the Eskimos’ diet was rich in beneficial fatty acids, specifically omega-3 fatty acids. The Eskimos’ Diet included a lot of oily fish such as mackerel, trout, herring, sardines, tuna and salmon, which contain these valuable omega-3 fats. The modern western diet rarely provides sufficient quantities of omega-3. With this in mind Eskimo-3 realises the necessity of essential fatty acids and so have designed their products to supplement this need for both adults and children.
